When I hear the word study, I often cringe. It normally means there is a test coming up in the near future. I'm not very good a testing either so that just makes it that much harder on me.
But when the Bible says to study it means just that. It means to "think!"
Going to a christian school and having the bible intertwined into your academics is difficult sometimes. You often get caught up in the studying aspect of just reading to get enough information to answer the question or be able to know what is going on in the class forgetting that it is also for personal growth as well.
I find it very crucial to not just read the Bible to study it as a novel. That's a very big issue at my school. People will read the Bible like a novel and punch their time card. And when you ask them what they learned, they can't tell you because they just read it. You must apply what you read if you want to grow. I find myself snooping in the Bible 4 to 5 times a week. But when i do, i read it and i apply every single aspect of what i read to my life. Where someone who reads it everyday might not get anything out of it. Therefore we must "study!"
