Can't Tame This

"The king and His kingdom are within you.  He's not an observation for you to comprehend.  He is the Revelation of grace that fully comprehends you."

Can I tap out on that please?  An observation to comprehend sounds a lot safer than someone comprehending everything about me.

The reality of "the greatness, sovereignty, wildness, and mystery of Christ invading your world" makes me shift in my seat.  I've gotten so skilled at building "my castles made of sand,' designed to keep other out.

"The new truth, now given to men and women by revelation in the person and mission of Jesus, is that the Kingdom that is to come finally in apocalyptic power, as foreseen by Daniel, has in fact entered into the world in advance in a hidden form to work secretly within and among human beings." -George E. Ladd

Him and His kingdom are within me, working in me, romancing me, revealing grace to me.  It's like the already-not yet kingdom of God is just waiting to be birthed through me into the world!

All of this makes me uncomfortable.

I'm reminded by a classic (and slightly sassy) Newsboys song that "I'm not following a God I can lead around; I can't tame this Deity!"

He is leading me into deeper intimacy with Himself as He comprehends every last corner of my being and drenches it with His grace.

Prayer is crazy!
