I loved this section! It reminded me of the first chapter of Francis Chan's book Crazy Love which is all about prayer. After reading different articles and books on prayer I always come out with new observations and new views on prayer that I had never before noticed. I ofter find myself rushing into prayer and just spitting out random things at God that I need help with, or things I want to see changed. But when I truly feel feel most connected to God in prayer is when I say nothing at all. When I come into God's presence in silence and in awe, rather than talking at God. Thinking of God's power and beauty, before I pray humbles me so that I can have honest real communication with Him.
What I really liked about this section in the packet was the part of seeing prayer as our entire lives, rather than just an aspect of our life. Looking at every breathe we take as a prayer, and without prayer we cannot breathe or have life. I learned through this to come humbly surrendered to God in prayer, learning to give up on trying to do things with my own power, but to surrender to God who is in control of all.
