Prayer

Some thoughts that come to mind when I read/think about prayer, which is communicating, listening having relationship with the Father….:

We are in complete and utter dependence on Him – whether we realize it or not. Communing, praying, and talking with God is just as important as eating, drinking, and breathing.
I literally cannot live without Him.

All day, every day, we do not take a break from breathing. It doesn’t matter if you want to believe it or not, but that fact is that we need to breathe in order to live on this earth. Physically it is not even an option to stop breathing for more than a few minutes unless you plan to die. Breathing becomes a natural part of our body’s existence from the second we come out of the womb. Doctors listen for that first cry, and sometimes institute a nice little slap, in order to make sure the lungs are working and the baby is breathing.

Our dependence and communion with the Lord should be the same. Non-stop. Constant.

Acts 17:28 – “For in Him we live and move and have our being.”

John 15:5 – “…apart from me [Jesus] you can do nothing.”

I want to be constantly with Him, never believing the lie that I can do this thing called ‘life’ on my own. I need Him like I need to breathe. And I want this to be a natural response.

This is my prayer….about prayer :)
