First, we are creatures.
We live on this earth, yet we have no clue what came before us, and what lies before us. WE HAVE NO CLUE!
So why do I feel like I can plan my life? Okay that's another topic for another time =]
Now onto our dependence and God's guidance.
"Not only can he conceive a soul fat more noble and devout than his, but he sees, as he thinks, peculiar deficiencies in himself, in some measure disqualifying him for the actual position in which God has placed him...Yet God must be right. ...he clearly has a work to do, and came here simply to do it...Every step which a creature takes, when he has once been created increases his dependence on the creator."
WHAT?!
Okay first, I can totally relate to this creature I don't know about you. He sees deficiencies in himself...disqualifying him for the actual position in which god has placed him. uhmmm yeah. I do not know why God has put us here, why he has called me to the water this summer. He must be pretty crazy for allowing 19-22 year olds to drive ski boats...with junior high and high school students. yup. crazy. God has such big plans for all of us this summer and we cannot even begin to fathom the impact we are going to have. He "must be right...he CLEARLY has a work to do..." We would not be going to the water, following obediently, unless we knew that God CLEARLY has a plan. So again why would I ever think that I could do this alone. If I don't know the reason that I am on the water this summer, other then to serve God and serve the campers, then why would I ever think that I could do this alone. I can't. I need to praise Him before and after every single day.
Okay now finally, "Every step which a creature takes, when he has once been created increases his dependence on the Creator." UHM yeah. I think that I often find myself telling God that I can do this and that without Him...but I always end up on the floor, on my knees, in front of His cross asking Him for guidance and help. So every single step whether its one step towards or away from the cross, I ultimately more dependent on the King of Kings.
Blake, really put it into perspective this weekend. He said "I just need to remind myself to Tebow before and after every single ski run." And as silly as that may sound, and yeah we laughed, its so true. We need to bow before the Creator before every talk with a camper, before every ski run, before every program, before every day. Then we need to praise him after every single talk with a camper, after ever ski run, after every program, and after every single day. So yeah, let's Tebow together, as a team. Let's give the Creator all the glory He deserves.
Love you all!!
