"If we are silent, who will take control? God will take control, but we will never let Him take control until we trust Him Silence is intimately related to trust." (Foster p.100)
I've been wrecked/encouraged by this passage on a consistent basis. Reading it this morning, God reveals even more ways He is asking me to stay silent and let Him take control. There's plenty of people telling me to do just the opposite, state my position, make my case known, justify myself, assert my will!
But as I trust Him and practice silence in solitude, He kills the heart of self-justification and pride in me.
"Don't worry about your life" Matthew 6:25
