Solitude

Hey guys hope you all have had an awesome week! and its mothers day!! 2 weeks till memorial day! Craziness!

Solitude, I love my quiet time and one on one with God. Just like meditation i do it most when im up in the hills.
Introvert by nature being alone doesnt bother me. However being alone and being in solitude for me are two different things. Since i am never truly alone, the Lord is with me and i am blessed with an amazing family in christ who lift me up. I gave up on the lies of being alone many years ago. The song "By your side" by Tenth Avenue North showed that to me.
Solitude, the so simple sounding act of removing self from the world and being with the Lord is so difficult to do. Tryin to stay still in the fast pace world is difficult as it is.
Another nature analogy, was up riding in the mountains. I go along and across many streams and rivers. Some big some nothing more than a trickle of water through the sand. Looking at the large river and the rapids going up, over, and around boulders with so much speed. Now place yourself in that river, you will be swept off your feet and held under that water gasping for breath. But you are able to grab onto a boulder and pull yourself out of that current, out of the rushing water and be still. that boulder, thats God. He is our Strength, our shelter, our rock,  hope, peace, stillness, on and on, forever and ever.  We can be safe with him. The raging rivers of life cannot touch us. That boulder takes it ALL and holds strong!
This week was raging river for me, and i again did not only struggle but failed to get quiet time with the Lord. Only until the weekend was i able to slow down to hear his voice. But God is so good, as i was about to snap he restored my strength. He brought home my friends that had gone to college and they have blessed/encouraged me so much in the last 72 hours. So i hope and pray that this is a sign that life will slow down a bit. Prayers would be appreciated. I cannot wait to be back with yall down in Cali.

Prayin For Ya!!
