Worship
My initial ideas of worship consisted of musical or artistic forms of expression of God's goodness. However, as I began to explore through different thoughts and theological texts, that something was amiss in this simplistic view of worship. Becoming more engaged in the subject, I came to the final decision that worship should be the intentional focus of ones mind on the Father. Interestingly enough, this year I was given the opportunity to take a course called "Biblical Interpretation and Spiritual Formation." Throughout the semester the class became engrossed in an interesting task of carrying out means of grace (i.e. solitude, fasting, etc). I remember the fast in particular, the particulars of the duty were to fast from not only food, but also all electronics and any means of digital entertainment. Yes, that is right, about all that was left was board games and sports as even music was included. Roughly around hour 16 I became aware of an increased dependence on the Father. Not only increased dependence, but also increased focus on things not of this world and ultimately worshipping He who was strengthening me in that time.
