He is our destination!

HE IS OUR DESTINATION! This has totally stuck with me ever since I read it. I was talking with my mens group the other day about the importance of the old testament. Everything that God was doing from Genesis to Malachi was preparing his people for the coming of Jesus, and pointing to the magnificent act that Christ did for us on the cross. We now have true life, and a home in Christ because of all He did. I love how the devo says "courage comes into play when through prayer you discover that approaching Christ through prayer has very little to do with mastering prayer techniques and everything to do with bearing the witnesw to the greatness, sovereignty, wildness, and mystery of Christ invading your world." the verse " apart from me you can do nothing" totally just rings true. Its all about Christ, what he has done, and what he continues to do through us as disciples.  Prayer is an awesome, humbling interaction with the Father. Its about Him changing us with his love, and bringing His kingdom here on earth. That is our purpose, to look to him and be in relationship with Him. He is our destination!
