I want to rewind for a moment! Last Tuesday April 3, a baby girl was born!!!! Kelly and I spent the rest of the week in the hospital and came home on Easter Sunday so I was unable to chime in on the Holy Week devo.
In the section titled The Slave King the disciples choice not to serve each other has been screaming at me.
Peter -"I am not a slave!"
Matthew - "I am not a slave!"
Reid - "I am not a slave!"
You - "????????!"
What will be our response this summer when Jesus calls us to serve one another or campers in the lowest form imaginable? My guess is it will be the same answer we give today when Jesus calls us to serve our roommates, parents, spouse, friends, professors....whoever!!! If we don't recognize the call to slavery on behalf of our fellow man today we certainly will not recognize it during the summer.
